For the last several weeks, I have plucked out sentences of truth, goodness, beauty {humor and peace and wisdom} from 31 of my favorite books.  A few simple sentences, a little fresh design, and a nugget of goodness for each day of October.  I’m calling it:

Come back Monday for the first one…and come back for the 30 lovely lines after that.  Breathe in great books – and Goodness – deep.

{RSS and email readers…I know that the posts are coming to you a day late.  Thank you for your patience!  Feel free to pop over early – or just let October linger a day behind until I get it figured out!}

      Jessica! SO great to hear from you. We think of you often and would love to cross paths next year… Keep us posted! And – so glad you found the little blog – thank you for reading. :) I’m glad you’re enjoying it – and knowing that you feel the same way about books as I do, I think you’ll like the Lovely Lines. :) Give your sweet family a hug from us!

  2. This is an awesome series idea – I’m really looking forward to reading all of your choices! :)

    Love the 31 days of lines! I collect quotes that resonate with me and I LOVE that someone else is doing the same thing. I also have a deep love affair with books, this is a perfect combo of goodness for me! Super excited The Giver made your list — that book changed the way I think when I read it (around age 12 I think) and it still makes me stop and think today. Excited to see more quotes (and more great books!)

      Well thank you! Then we are kindred spirits with our quotes and books. :) The Giver is such a good book…I reread it last year – and you’re so right, it does make you stop and think.
