Thank you so much, Jody! That is so kind. Jones Design Company is one of my very favorites. I took her blog class this past summer and it was amazing… I hope you’re having a good school year so far.
Jody – I completely understand…I’m a teacher, too! I’m a fourth grade teacher, but I taught 1st for a few years… No matter the age, you can never have enough books for your room…
As much as I would like to say “The Help” since it has been on my list forever, I would probably end up buying more knitting or cook books since that’s what always ends up in my cart in the end :) I found your blog through Emily (JDC) and love it!!
Elise – Thank you for coming over from JDC! That is one of my very favorite blogs and I’m still a little stunned at the kindness of her post today. :) I completely understand about the cookbooks and knitting needles…Amazon is awesome for everything. But – I will tell you that The Help is amazing!! Maybe you can borrow a copy and then get the best of both worlds. :) Good luck in the giveaway!
Hi Katie … love your blog! You did an awesome job with the design not to mention the wonderful content! I found your blog through Emily @ Jones Design Company. What book/s would I buy at Amazon? Ohmygosh…I love so many types of books it would be hard to decide which to buy! I would sure love the opportunity to win the $25 to I can check a few books off my long wish list! Thanks for the giveaway and continued success to you on your blog!
Thanks so much for such nice words, Christine! Emily’s post yesterday was so kind. I, too, have a loooong Amazon wish list…it would take me a long time to decide, too. :) I’m so glad you stopped by! Good luck on the giveaway!
I would buy new books for my classroom. The second and third books in the Matched series would be high on my list right now, as well as a second copy of Divergent and Insurgent.
The book I have been eyeing is Table Life: Savoring the Hospitality of Jesus in Your Home by Joanne Thompson. My friend recommended it to me. I have so much non-fiction to catch up on too, though. I don’t even know where to start with that! (Maybe A Tale of Two Cities, after today’s post.) :)
Amber – That’s a new one to me – thanks for the recommendation! I completely understand about having so much to catch up on. My side table was collecting books and I made myself put a few of them away yesterday…just so I can finish a couple of them. :)
I’ve just discovered your site…I, also, through Emily. I love, love it. I can’t wait to read your suggestions. I have a house full of books and a long list on Amazon, but I am going to make your suggestions tops. I will also post when I read exceptional books. I love the classics! I am very discerning with Christian faith books because I have found so many not Biblically sound. Right now I am reading an old copy of Onesimus by Lance Webb because my mother suggested it right before she suddenly and unexpectedly passed away 6 months ago.
I’d buy story books, Charlotte’s Web, Summer of the Monkeys, as many as I could, anything on my wish list. Thanks! Your new blog is lovely! I hopped over here from Jones Design Co. and am glad I did. :)
Love your blog! Found through Jones Design. Going through some life changes and your posts are really affirming! Thanks! I would purchase Anne Lamott’s new book, Help, Thanks, Wow!
My all time favorite book. I’ve bought it 3 times, then given it away each time! Dying for my own copy but I just cant NOT share it! (1000 gifts, that is….)
I’d get Susan Wise Bauer’s History of the Ancient World. I’ve gotten it from the library but it’s so long that I keep having to return it. I love history, and love her way of presenting it.
I too have a loooong wish list for books, but I think right now I’d like to expand my twin boys’ library… so probably a few artsy board books like Andy Warhol’s Colors!
Toughie … I have an ongoing list of Books to Buy. RIght now, Wolf Island (for my daughter) and Blood, Bones & Butter by Gabrielle Hamilton (for me) would top the list. And I would probably just browse around until I found another that looked wonderful and appealing!
I’d get Les Miserables…my most favorite fiction story of love and redemption-even read the unabridged version once!
Can’t wait to see it on screen this December…hope they do a good job. I’ve seen the play a dozen or more times on two continents.
I have a long long wish list…not sure which book I would start with, maybe A Circle of Quiet by Madeleine L’Engle and I’m looking forward to Anne Lamott’s upcoming book as well. Just came across your blog today and I’m loving it!
I would buy a sewing book, the new pigeon book by mo Willems, and any new books by tracie Peterson. I don’t know if $25 will cover all that, but I would sure try. :)
Recently discovered your blog through Jones Design Co, and have recommended it to a few of my bookworm friends :)
I recently heard of a book called ‘Open Heart Open Home: The Hospitable Way to Make Others Feel Welcome & Wanted’ by Karen Mains that I would love to get! :)
Hi, Susan – so glad you came by! A sucker for books – that’s a perfect way to put it (I’m one, too…you can probably tell!)! Any book in particular? I’m compiling the giveaway suggestions if you have any to add!
I’d get Quiet and or Wild… both on my to read list for the Fall Into Reading challenge!
Those both look like great reads…Quiet looks especially fascinating.
I love your blog! I found it through Emily Jones Design Company.

I’ve had Quitter in my cart for the past couple of weeks. Just waiting for something else that I need so that I can get free shipping. :)
Missy, that’s a new one to me, but it looks really interesting. I’ve just decided this giveaway was a great way for ME to get some recommendations!
I would probably buy a new YA fiction fantasy book. So many of them come out that its hard to keep up. (I read YA fiction by choice and profession.)
I love YA too! (Well, I guess that’s obvious from today’s post in particular.) So many great ones out there…
A Memory of Light (Wheel of Time) – it doesn’t come out until January though…Love Brandon Sanderson!

Well, thank you! Amazon is a happy place, no doubt. :) Good luck on the Giveaway!
I have a whole list of books on my Amazon wish list that i would buy!
There are so many books I’d buy. I’d like to buy some new children’s books, though, for Christmas perhaps…
I’d get Susan Wise Bauer’s History of the Ancient World. I’ve gotten it from the library but it’s so long that I keep having to return it. I love history, and love her way of presenting it.
Sheila…what a great choice! I love anything Susan Wise Bauer {I taught for a few years in a classical school}…
I too have a loooong wish list for books, but I think right now I’d like to expand my twin boys’ library… so probably a few artsy board books like Andy Warhol’s Colors!
That’s awesome.
I think I would have to share this with my husband. He used his last gift card to get me a book… so I would have him pick one! :)
I’m waiting for Shauna Neiquist’s new book to come out! I loved Cold Tangerines and Bittersweet.
I could get an early start on Christmas shopping (says the poor student teacher).
Hmm… there are so many on my list! :) Probably the first one would be “Hula Hoop Girl” by September McCarthy.
Toughie … I have an ongoing list of Books to Buy. RIght now, Wolf Island (for my daughter) and Blood, Bones & Butter by Gabrielle Hamilton (for me) would top the list. And I would probably just browse around until I found another that looked wonderful and appealing!

I would get “Grace for the Good Girl.”

I would buy the audio drama “Oliver” from Family Radio Theater for my kids!
I would buy a sewing book, the new pigeon book by mo Willems, and any new books by tracie Peterson. I don’t know if $25 will cover all that, but I would sure try. :)
Looks like I’ve got a bit of competition for that gift card. ;-) Love that so many people are getting to know the special gift that is my KT.
I know! I could practically give it to myself…now that I have a nice, long list of good recommendations! But I won’t. :)
Just discovered your website and love it. Lots of books on my wishlist, but I am looking forward to A Year of Biblical Womanhood by Rachel Held Evans.
Recently discovered your blog through Jones Design Co, and have recommended it to a few of my bookworm friends :)
